This year for christmas we bought snowboards!

derek had never been and i had been a couple times

while in high school. we thought we'd start it up this

year for something fun to do together.

The first place we tried was sundance back in december. we went with my mom, tanisia, tlyncia, and tanyail.

since it was derek's first time we spent alot of time with our

butts in the snow. other times derek had his hands

stuck to my mom's ski pole for extra support.

The snow was pretty good and at first there weren't too

many people but by 1pm the lines were way

too long and derek was way too sore!

...

We tried another place the following weekend:

WhitePine in Pinedale. it was a complete failure! one of the

worst places we have ever been so we didn't take any pictures...

we just went home disappointed :(

Today we just got back from our third day of boarding this

season. we drove down to Logan to try out Beaver Mountain!

and it was awesome! There were barely any people there,

at most we had to wait 2 minutes to get on the lift.

there were 4 different lifts and the runs were awesome!

Derek got exceptionally good by the end of the day he was carving

and looking like a professional! well inbetween his wipeouts :)

Me on the other hand i was trying to get good at my carving

because next month LIS is going for a field trip and i

have to try to keep up with all the 7th and 8th graders.

anyway the trip was a great success! and we are excited to go again after our bodies recover from all the crashes and wipeouts!
